Solubilization of the receptor for N-1-naphthylphthalamic Acid.
A receptor protein for the auxin transport inhibitor, N-1-naphthylphthalamic acid (NPA), has been solubilized from corn coleoptile membranes using Triton X-100. [(3)H]NPA binding activity of the receptor was compared in soluble and membrane-bound states. Both activities are abolished by treatment with trypsin. Differences between the two are observed in pH optima and rates of heat inactivation....
متن کاملBis(N,N′,N′′-triisopropylguanidinium) fumarate–fumaric acid (1/1)
The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C(10)H(24)N(3) (+)·0.5C(4)H(2)O(4) (2-)·0.5C(4)H(4)O(4), comprises a triisopropyl-guanidinium cation, half of a fumarate dianion and half of a fumaric acid mol-ecule; both the fumarate dianion and the fumaric acid mol-ecule are located on inversion centres. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the carboxyl groups of the fumaric ...
متن کاملN,N-Dimethylacetamide–4-iodobenzenesulfonic acid–water (1/1/1)
In the title compound, C(6)H(5)IO(3)S·C(4)H(9)NO·H(2)O, N,N-dimethylacetamide and 4-iodobenzenesulfonic acidmolecules are linked by an intramolecular C-H⋯O hydrogen bond. In the crystal structure, inter-molecular O-H⋯O, O-H⋯I and C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the mol-ecules.
متن کامل5-Amino-2,4,6-triiodoisophthalic acid–4,4′-bipyridine N,N′-dioxide–water (1/1/1)
The aromatic rings of the N,N'-dioxide molecule in the title compound, C(8)H(4)NI(3)O(4)·C(10)H(8)N(2)O(2)·H(2)O, are twisted by 14.0 (2)°. The -CO(2)H substituents of the 5-amino-2,4,6-triiodo-isophthalic acid are twisted by 83.0 (2) and 86.5 (2)° out of the plane of the aromatic ring. In the crystal, the three components are linked by O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network. An ...
متن کاملGrowth & geotropic curvature of Avena coleoptiles in presence of n-1-naphthylphthalamic acid.
The fact that geotropic curvature is mediated by unequal rates of elongation on opposite sides of the bending structure has led to the general implication that (lepression of these growth rates should cause a corresponding inhibition of geotropic curvature. Recently published results have revealed that this expected relationship was not always observed when plants were treated with compounds su...
